Rocky Mountain Alumnae Chapter
ABOUT OUR GROUP

History:
The Rocky Mountain Alumnae Chapter was chartered in 1981 and had 62 charter members.  Rocky Mountain received recognition from National Council at the 2006 Convention with the crown chapter award and we have earned this award many times in our 20 year history.

Group Dynamics:
We are a group of approximately fifty-five members, which represent over 25 collegiate chapters. Our members range from recent college graduates to well-seasoned ZTAs who have seen and done it all.   Our members are single, married, mothers, grandmothers, business women, teachers and stay-at-home moms.

Meeting Info:
We hold events from September through June, varying the day of the week.  Our events usually begin at 6:30pm. We try to vary the area of the city where we meet each month to accommodate the large area we cover.

Service to the Community:
Our large service project is to staff the Zeta booths at the Denver Komen Race for the Cure.  We staff the booth that distributes the pink t-shirts and hats in the survivor area plus the back sign booths located around the race area.  We have also had a booth in the sponsor area where we had out the One-in-Eight stickers, which are used to remind you to do a monthly breast self-exam.  Some of the projects we have planned in the past include collection of school supplies, canned food drive, collecting gifts for the Santa Shop, creating ornaments, wreaths and Christmas cards for a nursing home, making pink bracelets for cancer patients, and helping with the Sunshine Kids.

Chapter Correspondence:
We send out a newsletter three times a year (usually around September, December and March) which provides all of the details for the upcoming events, including directions. The newsletter goes out to all the ladies we show living in the Denver-metro area.  In addition to the newsletter, an E-vite (via e-mail) is sent out before each event to serve as a reminder of the upcoming gathering.  Ladies just need to provide an e-mail address and request to be added and they will receive the e-vite.

How To Join:
All members in good standing with the Fraternity are welcome to join our group.  We have three different levels of dues.  Dues for the first two years out of college are $25.  Regular dues are $35 and Ultra-Violet dues are $45.  The Ultra-Violet level helps supplement the recent college graduates and helps raise additional funds.  See our Membership page for more information.
