Lora Cottrell and Robin Volden are the Zeta Tau Alpha Race Representatives for the Denver race. They are members of the Survivor Committee, along with Cindy Figenbaum. Zetas staff the t-shirt and hat tent in the Survivor area, and two back-sign booths. We always need people to staff our tents so please consider volunteering for the race in October.

Breast Cancer Education and Awareness
ZTA is devoted to aid in efforts in the fight against breast cancer through education, awareness, research and by promoting breast health. ZTA supports the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation with a donation each year. More than $1.6 million has been donated to the Komen foundation since 1992. In addition to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, the Komen Race for the Cure and the National Series Breast Cancer Survivor Recognition Program, ZTA also supports the fight against breast cancer through its own education and awareness programs. The “Think Pink” campaign is now ZTA’s primary project for breast cancer awareness. While this program is typically implemented in October, National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, our chapter promotes “Think Pink” throughout the year. We pass out information cards conveying the message of early detection through breast self-examination, clinical examinations and screening mammography. Also, we pass out the “One in Eight” stickers, which give additional information about early detection.
